Facets of Biology/CSE/ECE/Mathematics and UC San Diego

All Summer Academy are required to participate in the Facets seminar. The seminar is designed to

• convey the excitement of your chosen discipline,
• expose the student to research opportunities,
• inform about career opportunities,
• provide individual/group advising regarding courses, academic planning, and available university resource,
• introduce the student to various aspects of life at UC San Diego,
• discuss about study skills and attitudes for succes, 
• create social opportunities with peers, faculty, and staff.
